The returnable deposit for the electronic toll device (OBU) is 2468 CZK. The lowest amount of prepaid credit that can be bought is 1000 CZK.
You can keep the OBU device up to 12 months without using it on toll roads in Czech Republic.
If the device is not in use for a period of time longer than 12 months, then the deposit and unused prepaid credit is forfeited.
You can register personally at any point of sale. For this you need to haveoriginal technical document of the vehicle, pay 2468 CZK as returnable depositfor the OBU device that has to be on the front windshield and 1000 CZK asminimum of credit. As you go by toll roads the credit will decrease with everykilometer you travel by toll roads in Czech Republic.

You can alsoregister your vehicle in advance and pay for the deposit and credit in advanceat MYTO.GOV.CZ/EN ? REGISTRATION, then you can pick-up OBU device at any pointof sale in Czech Republic. You will still have to bring with you the original certificate of the vehicle.
It is forbiddenfor vehicles >3,5t to drive on toll roads in Czech Republic without an OBUdevice.
